Adding Stacks to a Workspace |
| To add a new image stack to a
workspace select Open Image Stack from the File menu. The
Open Image
Stack dialog box comes up. Browse to the location where the file(s) for
your stack are located.
3D Files: Simply select the file. Sequence of 2D Files: VIAS will attempt to parse the name of the selected file and automatically load all the files with the same prefix and/or extension. A sequence of files must have the form <prefix>[number]<extension> The prefix and extension are optional but the numerical part of the name is required and determines the ordering of the files. VIAS generates projections for the stack in X, Y and Z, and stores them in the workspace directory. You should not open these projection files directly. For large stacks you may see the following dialog while the projections are generated:
To add one or more new stacks to a workspace in a batch, select Batch Open Stacks... to bring up the following dialog.
Use the Add... and Remove buttons to edit the list of file names as necessary. Hitting the OK button will initiate the opening of all the stacks. |
