The workspace grid is provided as a means of reference for easier alignment. You may change certain attributes of the grid by selecting the View menu option Grid Settings... This will bring up the following dialog.

Display of the grid can be turned off by selecting the View menu option Hide Grid. The grid display can then be re-enabled by selecting the View menu option Show Grid.
