You may customize certain colors for the workspace by selecting the View menu option Colors... This will bring up the color selector dialog box.

Select the display element you wish to alter in the list box. A number of controls are present to change the color value of the selected display element. The selected color is displayed in both RGB( red, green, blue ) and HSL( hue, saturation, lightness ) colorspaces.
