Changing Stack Attributes

Stack attributes refer to the name and opacity of a given stack. The name identifies the stack in the workspace as displayed in the stacks dialog.

The opacity value of a stack controls the transparency of a stack when its is drawn on the workspace. Stacks are drawn in a back to front order so the lower the opacity the more transparent the stacks will appear and therefore allow you to see through them. By default new stacks are set to 100 percent opacity.

To change the name or the opacity of a stack double-click on the stack name in the stacks dialog. This will bring the Image Stack Options dialog (shown below). Change the name and opacity to the desired values and click OK.

Click the Info>> button to expand the dialog and display some basic information about the stack.

Clicking the <<Info button will shrink the dialog back to the previous size.
