Adjusting Stack Position |
| New stacks are always given workspace
coordinates at the origin (0,0,0). To change the position of a stack,
select the view where you want to make changes first. Select the front
view to adjust the X or Y
coordinate. Select the side view to adjust the Y or Z coordinate. And
select the top view to adjust the X or Z coordinate. Which view you
select will mainly depend on the visibility of the stack you are using
as a reference. There are two ways you can change the position of a stack: using the stack mover, or using the magnet tool. To use the stack mover you must first select the stack or stacks you want to move( see previous section). Once the selection is completed you can choose the stack moving tool from the tools dialog or you can you can select Drag Stack(s) from the Edit menu. Click on the workspace and drag the cursor to move the selected stacks. The image below shows an example of how to use the stack mover to position two stacks. Notice that the cursor need not be over the selected stacks while the drag operation is performed.
To use the magnet tool to change a stack position just select the magnet tool from the tools dialog. Then click and drag on the workspace over the stack you want to move. In order to properly select a stack, the stack must be the first one visible at the selected location. Hold down the CTRL key while clicking to select mulitple stacks. See Turning Stack Visibility On or Off for more information. The image below shows the use of the magnet to move a stack.
