Background includes 15 years industry experience (Amersham/ GE Health Care) and 4 years under the direction of Dr. Zahi Fayad. Major focus has been on the development of translatable molecular imaging probes for cardiovascular disease. Currently working on immunomodulation therapy for atherosclerosis (and potentially Alzheimers) by using nanoparticles containing either antibodies or antibody mimics to stimulate the recognition and elimination of oxidized low density lipoproteins. Other interests included stem cell labeling and tracking, immunotherapy, and nanoparticle gene delivery.
