We use a combination of experimental and computational approaches to understand the regulatory capabilities of cellular signaling networks. These systems biology studies form the basis for our approach for discovery of drugs for complex diseases. We are developing approaches to use specific regions within cell signaling components as therapeutic agents. We are testing if interactions between signaling pathways can be used as a basis for therapy. We are integrating experimental and theoretical approaches to identify potential drug targets in a hierarchical manner and identify small molecule interactors with these targets. Our current focus is on cancers and cardiovascular diseases.
