In our lab we are applying engineering principles to understand how biochemical regulatory networks are altered in human disease. We are developing computational tools to analyze experimental data in context of background knowledge about protein-protein interactions, gene regulatory networks, and cell signaling pathways. Additionally, we construct networks that connect: FDA approved drugs, disease genes, information on side effects and drug interactions, with pathways and networks made of genes and proteins. For this we are using concepts from graph theory and data-mining.
